Our Story

They say once you go bully you never go back. For us, that was not only true but proved to be entirely life changing. We bought our little ball of wrinkles home in September 2010 and since then, nothing’s been the same.

Harley Dean is your classic case of bulldog chaos, from his fantastic personality to his frantic health issues. You name it, Harley had it! Hundreds of sleepless nights, thousands of dollars, and many glasses of wine led to us to make the best decision for our family. We packed our bags, left the pressures of the big city and headed to the country.

We started by creating a raw food diet for Harley (vet approved) and making sure Harley spent his days swimming in the pond, running wild on our ten acres and having a better social life than we do! We haven’t had a major vet bill since, and we know our healthy, well mannered dog is a product of this environment. Niagara Pet Resort was born.

As country kids ourselves, we’ve had many years of experience working with dogs, cats, horses and even raccoons. We’ve seen firsthand that an exercised and stimulated dog is a healthy dog. We know this beautiful space saved the life of our dog Harley, and in his memory we’ve created Harley’s Healing Foundation. A nature sanctuary and healing walk to honour the memories of those who have passed. There’s no place like a country home, and we hope you’ll see for yourself.
